Michele & Tim’s Rustic Chic Winter Wedding at Mildale Farm

While we’re all feeling super eager for warm weather to be here to stay, I’ve had this stunning winter wedding at Mildale Farm on my mind. And for a good reason. The adorable Mr. and Mrs., Tim and Michele, threw one heck of a party to celebrate their love. From the sparkly and snowy cake to the flowers with seasonal blooms, pinecones, and wintry greens—all set amongst a light dusting of snow that coated the ground—it was truly a rustic chic celebration.

When asked about a favorite moment from their big day, this adorable duo states, “It’s hard to say what some favorite moments were, but probably the first dance, walking down the aisle to Foo Fighters’ "Everlong,” and dancing the night away with all of our friends.” Read on for their wedding day recap and more sweet moments just like these captured by the ever-so-talented George Street Photo & Video!

How did you meet and how did he pop the question? Tell us your story.

Tim and I met almost five years ago at the bar I was working at then. It took several months for us to really talk, but he was always known as "the hot guy with tattoos" when he was a guest at my bar.

Eventually, I asked him to get coffee and, as they say, the rest is history! Tim popped the question when we were on vacation in Cabo San Lucas.

Pinterest had a lot of great inspiration, but it was also overwhelming. Staying organized was probably the most helpful. As we got closer to the date, McKenzie was really helpful at reminding me about things I wouldn't think of, and allowing me to let go on the day-of and just enjoy it all!

Tell us about some of the songs you used throughout your wedding and why you chose them.

Tim and I are huge fans of the Foo Fighters, so we had my brother use them for inspiration when picking the songs to play before the ceremony. We are also a huge fan of Tom Petty, so we chose "Walls" for our first dance song because it is a beautiful song and unique for the occasion. Aside from that, we tried to trust the DJ and pick songs from different decades that everyone would recognize.

Did you have something borrowed, blue, old, and new? If so, do tell!

Not really! I had blue shoes, though.

Do you have any practical advice for a soon-to-be bride? If so, please share your tips!

Get a day-of coordinator and trust them!! McKenzie and her team are the reason why I wasn't glued to my phone on our wedding day!

What’s next for you as a couple? What memories are you looking forward to making together?

We’re waiting to go on our honeymoon until June, so that will be fun!
